Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 June 2026

Template notice. This document is a good-faith placeholder for the Designers Puzzle platform and is provided for illustration only. It is not legal advice and must be reviewed and adapted by qualified counsel before publication.

1. Overview & acceptance

Designers Puzzle (“Designers Puzzle”, “we”, “us”) operates a worldwide two-sided marketplace that connects members seeking interior and exterior design with independent design providers. By creating an account, browsing, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

We act as a neutral broker that facilitates discovery, communication, contracting, and payment between members and providers. We are not a party to the design services agreement formed between a member and a provider, and we do not ourselves provide design services.

2. Accounts

You must be of the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction and able to form a binding contract to register. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your credentials confidential, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. We may suspend or close accounts that contain false information or that are used in breach of these Terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • circumvent the platform to transact off-platform in order to avoid fees;
  • post unlawful, infringing, fraudulent, harassing, or misleading content;
  • misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the platform or its security; or
  • use the platform to violate any applicable export, sanctions, tax, or consumer-protection law.

4. Provider obligations

Providers are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Designers Puzzle. Providers represent that they hold the licenses, permits, insurance, and qualifications required to perform their services in each location where they operate, that listings and portfolios are truthful, and that they will deliver services with reasonable skill and care and in line with the scope agreed with the member. Providers are solely responsible for their own tax, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

5. Payments, escrow & fees

Payments are processed by our payment partner, Stripe, and held in escrow against agreed milestones. Funds are released to the provider when the relevant milestone is approved by the member or after any applicable review window elapses without dispute. We charge a service fee, disclosed before checkout, which may be deducted from the transaction. Currency conversion, local taxes, and payment-method surcharges may apply depending on your country. You authorize us and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for amounts you approve.

6. Cancellations & disputes

Members and providers should first attempt to resolve issues directly. If a dispute cannot be resolved, either party may raise it through the platform. We may, at our discretion, review evidence and determine the release, partial release, or refund of escrowed funds for a given milestone. Our dispute decisions relate only to the handling of escrowed funds and do not constitute a legal adjudication of the parties’ underlying rights.

7. Limitation of liability

The platform is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Designers Puzzle is not liable for the acts, omissions, work quality, or conduct of any member or provider, and our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the platform is limited to the service fees we earned on the relevant transaction in the preceding twelve months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk for other users, or where required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including payment obligations, dispute handling, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.

9. Governing law

These Terms, and any dispute arising from them, are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction stated in your service agreement or, absent that, the jurisdiction in which Designers Puzzle is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected.
