Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Designers Puzzle operates a worldwide marketplace connecting members with interior and exterior design providers. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to members and providers across the countries we serve.
2. Data we collect
- Account data — name, email, password hash, role (member or provider), and locale.
- Profile & listing data — provider portfolios, service areas, pricing, and member project briefs.
- Transaction data — orders, milestones, messages, disputes, and escrow status (but not full card numbers — see below).
- Technical data — IP address, device and browser information, and cookie identifiers.
3. Payment data
Card and bank details are collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. Designers Puzzle does not store full payment card numbers on its own systems. We receive only limited information from Stripe — such as payment status, the last four digits, and the card brand — to operate escrow and display your order history. Stripe’s handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to secure the platform, and we may use optional analytics cookies to understand usage. You control optional cookies through the consent banner and your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.
5. Third parties
We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform, including:
- Stripe — payment processing and escrow.
- Resend — transactional email such as receipts, notifications, and account messages.
We do not sell your personal data. Some providers may process data in countries other than yours; where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. After closure we retain limited records where required for tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal-compliance purposes, then delete or anonymize them.
7. Your rights
Subject to your local law, you may request access to, correction of, a copy of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in your account settings; otherwise contact us and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
